FAQs - Frequently Asked Questions

Personal Equipment

What do we need to bring?
At the time of booking an overview  with suggestions will be furnished, along with the necessary items that need to be brought along in the case of regatta.   In any case it is requested that you bring soft luggage that can be easily folded and stowed aboard.
For cruising,  we suggest casual light  clothing, with a sweater  and light pants for the  breezy sailing days and  cooler evenings.  A water  resistant windbreaker  could be handy as well.  Soft soled boat shoes  are recommended for footwear.  and swimwear  is a must!  you may want to bring water shoes for a walk  on the beach too.  all  linens are supplied,  but if you want to bring your favorite beach towel...  and don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen.

Sailing Experience

Do we need to have sailing experience?
Not unless specifically requested as in the case of regatta. It is helpful however , to know if you have already had boating experience of any kind.

Spoken language

What language is spoken on board?
Both American and Italian fluently.  German and French upon request at the time of initial request.

Is it necessary to understand Italian?
Absolutely not, but we’ll be happy to work with you on learning whatever  you feel useful or interesting of this beautiful language.
